Midsummer Dreamland

The summer evenings have actually really lightened up. Lower temp, lower humidity, and gorgeous sunsets.

I got to house sit at the farm so my evenings(weekends anyway) were gorgeous. I got to sit outside as the sun was setting and get some gorgeous shots. Shame it's a bit too late to enter any in the Washington County Fair. But, with the sun being out Jasmine's eye has flared up swollen again, so it's back to being stalled during the sunny days and put back out to pasture in the evenings.

Kitty, my tort Dutch doe, accidently squished her mismarked baby, so just in case she didn't kill her I weaned off the other baby at 4 weeks, a week earlier than I normally would.

So the dutch baby, which doesn't have a name yet, is in with Natalia, my broken blue Holland Lop Doe. Once she(he?) gets a couple of weeks older I can wean her/him off from Natalia and then Tattoo and show it. Hey, why not.

I lost one of Cate's babies, only two are left, but she squished one of those(I seem to like to have mommies that squish their children) but they're furring up now and I would guess they're going to be Seal colored like their dad.

Bunnies!!

Slow morning, We lost one of Cate's babies, but the other two are growing fast and they're the biggest ones too. Calleigh had one little Holland(she's my broken Tort doe) to Speedle(broken Blue) this morning, I'm excited my first live holland litter this year, Skye (Solid black) had three litters (total of 5 babies) and she killed everyone of them. Angie miscarried(4 to Gabriel) and Froggy squished(6 to Blaze) their litters.

Kitty, the Tort Dutch doe that I traded a Blue Dutch doe for, has her two little babies, both females that I can tell so far, only 4 weeks old right now. I'm definently keeping at least the one baby that is gorgeously marked. The picture has the dwarf baby she fostered until it died(we tried to save it)

I want one home bred of each breed. Poppy and Shadow are my two homebred Mini Rexes, Kitty's baby is the homebred Dutch and Angie is my homebred Holland Lop. I've got to find a Velveteen Lop buck for Cate and see if I can get purebreds from her now that she's had two mutt litters(I will have fun finding this mutt litter homes, the last one she killed :) ) I'll try to get pictures up tomorrow or Friday night when I get a few more pictures.

Well Cate(Country's Cater, Black Senior Velveteen Doe) had three babies to the Mini Lop buck, Floppy. Floppy I had out to hop around one rainy day and when I left to go get some more water, Cate pushed open the door to her cage and he found her, so 4 weeks later I have babies. . . Oh well. They're cute, maybe they'll have their mother's rex fur and shorter ears like their father. And a picture of my baby girl, Jasmine. Jazz's eyesight is holding stable right now, Her UVetis is killing her eyesight, but I've slowed it the best I can to hold what little sight she has left. A friend of mine, Kylie, got her from the women that rescued her out of a neglect situation and Kylie didn't have room or time for her either and I got her shipped up here, I figured I could have found her a good home and instead fell in love with her. She's got a star and a bit of a snip, solid bay(with those random gray areas) and is around 15 hands high. My little cousin has ridden her the best, I have but she's trained English (Dressage mostly) and I ride western mostly(Don't even own an english saddle). Well it's bed time so I'm going to get moving, maybe get a few bunny shots up tomorrow.

Hey ya'll!

Hey everyone!, I keep looking at ya'll's blogs and decided to get one of my own. Well life is slow as usual in our little town. My horse, Jasmine(13 year old Bay Arabian mare) is doing good, still only can see shadows. All the bunnies(8 Holland Lops, 7 Dutch, 2 mini Rex, 2 Mini Lops, 1 Veleveteen Lop) are all doing wonderfully. More later, got ot go play with this thing.
