Bunny Pics!

These are the two boys, the red from Trina's first litter and the broken black from Xena's first litter.  After about an hour or so of contemplation on them, I'm leaning towards moving the reds out and just keeping broken blacks as the reds we don't know for sure-anymore- that they are purebred, and it could be the rex-gene that is making them harder to peel when we butcher them.  We were told the original 3 were purebreds(Rosie, Trisha and Aragorn) but with Rosie2's litter to her father producing 1 rex fur-it comes down to the rex gene coming out of Aragorn, which means we could throw Rex fur quite often now.  Rosie 2, Ruby(Rosie3), Trixie, Trina and Stryder are all offspring of Aragorns.  Rosie2 and Ruby are out of Rosie1 and Trixie, Stryder and Trina are all out of Trisha.  Just 'cause none of mine have thrown the rex fur doesn't mean it won't happen.  It's too scary a thought to me adn reds are soo hard to find.  I was set to sell a few of them as purebred New Zealand reds and now I'm not so sure.  I'll make a buyers note for them so they know it's happened.  But for now, I'll look into a second broken black buck that will be unrelated to Kate and Xena and we'll butcher Stryder, this way Alex has a spot to stay(Kate's son, Xena's nephew) and with Trixie moved out(I'll sell her to a breeder, she's an awesome mom) I'll keep one of Bree's broken babies and I can look for another unrelated doe, if Lisa wants, so she'll have two broken black does that aren't related, or she can keep one of Kate's spotted babies.
As for the dutch, I'm seeing what I can do to trim down completely without losing too much in the way of my bloodlines and still keep some for show.  Blackberry's looking to be moved out as she'll only throw black offspring, Ebony's going to come back to show before trying a date with the blue buck- shes a black but out of a blue steel so she should throw some blue with a blue buck.  Dixie's staying also, even though she's black because she's also out of a blue and should throw blue with the blue buck-but in her case, she has time to wait as she's just a baby still.  The others are going on a hit or miss cycle right now, I've got my pair of grays(Tonya and Syd) and the three steel does, Keisha, her daughter Natalie and Anna whom stay and the pair of torts, Kansas and Colby.  I *might* keep a steel buck out of Keisha's litter, but I am not positive on that one yet.
Anyway, just meer ramblings of a crazy person.  I bid thee fairwell.

Just some picture update

My little point and shoot digetal camera gave up a bit ago, so there's been a huge gap as it can be a bit of a pain to bring the big camera out for some random little pictures here and there.
Well I finally broke down and got a cheap little point and shoot digetal, so I had it out today taking some random pictures just to get it out and get to know what it'll do.
Yes, she's muddy.

She had just woken up from a nap.

Dixie girl!

Anna's gray baby and Ebony's 2 blacks, 2 steels- all being raised by Ebony

Alex is growing into a fine young man.  This is Kate's son!

Bree, she's still with her litter so she doesn't look the best.

This is my 'little' girl Juliet.  Very fine looking doe.  Now if enough of her hair grows back on her face, I'll be taking her to the show in March.

And Bree's little ones!  Two of the solid blacks are males, the rest are all females!

Snow day pictures

Well first step this morning was getting the cattle panel tied up against the posts in the back so Bahloo stops stomping the fence into the ground.  Bahloo can't seem to stay off the fence no matter how much I yell at her and try to attempt to reteach her to stay off the fence.

I'll have to take the gate down and get the panel underneath it and tacked to the posts, right now it's just twined up.

I had meant to fill the bucket yesterday before it got cold and get the heater in it. Well I've been a bit 'under the weather' so to speak with a cold and forgot.  So the bucket was frozen over and almost empty.  I filled it and put the heater in and it thawed the ice chunk- so heater still works!
The ladies came over to look at Phoenix and hope he'd share his food.

And gotta say, who can say no to a face like this:

Heidi loves to come over to the fence and say good morning!  At least one of them come to say good morning and give me kisses.

Picture Spamming, WARNING Cuteness to follow!

Lots and lots of cuteness!  Well I did lose my little digetal camera- it finally gave up, so these are all taken with mom's little camera(I knew buying a camera for 'her' would come in handy one day!).  But all the babies are getting fuzz, so I'm not worried now about cold air coming in they won't freeze now.

Keisha's babies- They have their eyes open now!  3 Steels 3 blacks I *think*

Ebony's babies- 2 blacks 5 steels I *think*

Anna's babies- 3 Grays, 2 steels I *think*

And the biggest for last!  Bree's babies:
All together- 4 brokens, 3 solids

All three blacks:

Two of the brokens:

The other two brokens:

So after bunnies comes Horses and other related horse things:
So people can see Phoenix's mash for breakfast.  Nutrena Senior, with several cups worth of soaked alfalfa pellets and topped with Focus Sr suppliment for him.

*Nam, nam, nam*  He loves his breakfast.

The ladies finish long time before Phoenix does so they already came back to munch hay.
Then I went up to Mount Sterling to get my work glasses repaired-again.  Spanky already fixed them once at work Tuesday night and they came apart again, so I took 'em back to Walmart and had them fix 'em.
On the way back home(after stopping at Burger King for lunch) we packed another 50 bales in the barn:

I was down to a little over a week left so I figured to stuff some more in there.  Donnie's still got close to 1000 bales left so I'll pick up some more over my 5-day weekend even if I have to cut the horses from the run in side until it's gone.  It's really nice hay, the horses and bunnies LOVE it and I don't want to run out.
I may have to come borrow the big utility trailer to get all mine next time- and hopefully it be dryer so I can back the truck down into the feild.
Bahloo and Heidi went into the Roark's feild, they were having a ball romping around.
And that's Bahloo's nice, clean pretty new halter.  Fits perfectly- and of coarse she was rolling in the mud over there so it's not so clean anymore.  I will wash it before she goes over to meet her new boyfriend.
Then back into their feild to settle down for the night.

And I picked up the sheath for my knife!
Fits liek a glove for my knife!
