Took Honey for a ride today- That was a VERY interesting. She's NOT an English pony, most definitely a western pony. She's got way more 'GO' than 'Whoa', VERY sensitive to leg pressure. At least I didn't hit the turf. It was a short ride, we rode around the backyard and front yard. I wasn't concerned as much at that point that she was going to dump me it was keeping control. So I've got word out at Tractor Supply for a good home for Honey with someone that'll ride western.
Her trot was smooth at least, I just sat to it, I didn't try to post, I was afraid of being dumped. Could not touch my legs to her at all, she'd take off.

Hoof trimming day!!
The ladies and Phoenix got their feeties done today. Honey was walking MUCH better after having her feet trimmed. Her hock looks much better as well. I'm VERY glad of that. Hopefully by next Sunday it'll be cool enough and her hock will be comfortable enough and I'll tack her up and see how she's going to be. Michael thinks she'll be calm and quiet under saddle. He was quite impressed with how good she was for trimming despite the stiff hock.
