Finally horse pictures!

My new Zealand babies are starting to hop in and out of the box now.  Kylie's named this one Checkers and told me I wasn't allowed to eat her, so I'll be looking for a breeding home for her I guess!!!
When I heard about the weather tonight, I tossed Heidi's sheet and Phoenix's midweight blanket back on him for the night.

So after getting the blanket back on the horses for the night, I took a few quick pictures of my waiting saddle rack for Phoenix's blanket.
Heidi's is complete, both pads- the regular and the shaped, the dressage girth is on top and the saddle is there!
The green is still waiting for it's saddle!!  His AP pad, the riser pad and both girths are there because I don't know if the saddle will take the dressage girth or the regular girth so both are waiting.

Short ride and photoshoot!

So I bit the bullet and tacked Heidi up today.  It's been almost 2.5 months since the last time I rode her or she's been worked at all.  I should have lunged her or something first but I figured since she had her feet all nice and trimmed this morning and she was lazy she should be lazy this afternoon.
We had about a half hour, a little arguing when she wanted to be done, and I said no. But other than that no theatrics except from Pheonix who ran the fence.
So after a short ride, we stopped on a good note to get us back into things, I tossed their halters on and let them eat some of the grass at the end of the drain feild.

Snow . . . White cruddy snow . . .

Well the latest heat wave gave way to another cold snap and SNOW.  Grrr.
You can kind of see the halter sore from Heidi's other halter on her cheek bone so I went back to the huge draft halter on her.   She keeps her halter on where I clip her to the post while they eat breakfast cause I'm feeding rabbits and can't keep her from trying to eat Phoenix's that he's dropped!

So this evening is the Super Bowl- which dad and I spent at Aunt Lisa and Uncle Jim's.
I brought Romeo over and he's hanging out in a cage and he meet his newest girlfriend-Kate.

The little camera still doesn't take the greatest shots of the girls.

Well so far the Raven's are beating the snot out of the 49er's.  But there's still the last quarter to go, and little over 7 minutes of the 3rd.  Still no Budweiser Clyde commercial . .  .
