More Pictures!!!

Grandma and her Great-granddaughter- Natalie. Aren't they a pair?

Rachel, getting settled in shortly after getting to KY. She was texting to her mom to let Mom Heflin- Debbie- know she made it in one peice. Naturally the only wasy she had with her to charge her phone was USB through the computer. Silly girl, soo many chargers and forgets everyone of them!

Cathryn trying to hid while kidnapping photo's from my camera. She missed a few, cause I took them after that, but she got them Friday morning instead. I'm sending out CD's of pictures Monday to Cori & Jennifer, Ron Jon & Racheal, Rachel G., Allen and I will give one to Jess. Anyone else want a copy?? Just send me an email! HRVandiver @ gmail . com (no spaces)

Ron Jon looked more interested in the movie, Racheal at least smiles for the camera!

So that's what happened to the Pie!!!

Play nicely boys!! Remember Allen's not the marks man you are Barry- At least not in real life, a game he might be.

"Lemme get my coffee to wake up!" Maybe that's what he was thinking? Or it could have been too close to bed time to know the difference.

This is SnowFlake, she's a little bera that Rachel got for me, She does have an outfit on now but she lacks the shoes. Maybe I'll save up some money once I get a job and get my bills all paid up I'll get her some shoes and another outfit. New Picture eventually.

Dad up in the loft looking for his winter coat. Sorry, I couldn't resist taking it. This was Saturday morning. I had to finish the rabbits still, had gotten the cages clean and the buns fed but still had water bottles to go.

Last but not least is Scooter. He's the farm dog from down the road, but he comes up every day to play with his buddies. The people next door used to work on his farm and they'd bring him back to play with their dogs. Scooter's a bit lost because the neighbors went to Ohio for the holiday. He was just sitting outside and following me around some. He's a pretty boy, and he's pretty smart too.

He rolled over onto his back and let me scratch his belly and tried to get me to go for another walk with him. He was waiting for his buddies to go for a walk.
Maybe one day I can get one like him~except a girl. Definently partial to girls in all animals except rabbits, them it'll depend on the breed. Dutch girls, but the Mini Rex, Velveteen Lops and the Holland Lops the boys are far better.

Hopping Good!

Phoenix's mane has gotten long!!! maybe by spring he'll have a nice long mane, it'll never be thick, but I love the shading. . .

Here's a little picture of Bo. He's doing well, so far. He's stopped the kicking. Grandma watched me this morning when I took a rope and softly 'smacked' him all the way around and he didn't lift a hoof. I'm working on the biting and the under foot thing still. I put his butt against my knees and leaned over him to scratch his chest without him moving except his ears back to listen. I was able to sit cross legged on the ground and not get stepped on, he pawed my leg once and got smacked and told No and he didn't try it again. he came adn gave me some kisses saying he was sorry-hence the picture. So hopefully with a bit more he'll have some manners! He's working on his feet too.

Here's Wordy! He loved coming out into the horse pasture and meeting Arizona and Sundown. He just let them sniff him.

And Shelly, she's not as amused with a harness, but she came out to hop around in the grass, she wanted nothing to do with those horses! Big scary Mini Horses! Heaven help her if she ever meets Heidi and Phoenix!

And Gabriel, he's just finishing his moult so his fur is still in rough condition, as you can see from his head and crown, but the topside of his back is got good winter coat in. Just wait till spring with him, he'll do nice on the show tables!

I Shot One!

Okay, not in the sense you thought eh? I saw this beauty on my way to Aunt Lisa's this morning off of White Turley Pike, about a mile or so down from Donaldson road. He allowed me to stop the truck in the middle of the road, climb out and take a picture of him, he just stood there staring at me. Thankfully no other vehicles came down the road, cause I was in the middle.
Of coarse I had to yell at him, "Where were you when I had a rifle in my hands?" and He just stared at me, mocking me.
He's a big boy, them antlers are huge. This is the best picture I could get of him because he was up a ways on a hill. I could have done better if I had my film camera (Or my dream Pentax K2000 DSLR) but I didn't so I had to survive with the little camera.
Dad's guess probably around 200 pounds and a 25 inch antler spread on him. All I know is he was big and he mocked me. Worst of all is usually the deer know when it's hunting season, and deer season opened the 14th, so he's just mocking everyone being out there, saying 'Come and get me!'. Ohh just wait, I'll get you one day. . .

Mini Update

Jazz looks WONDERFUL, the best she's ever looked in years weight wise. I'm very happy Aunt Lisa suggested the Mare and Foal feed. And We've messed with her blanket enough to get her fur to grow.

And naturally Phoenix looks like Mr. Chubbs, but he's only been getting grain to get a hoof suppliment. His feet seem hard, not quite as hard as Heidi's feeties.

And I actually got Bo to stand for a picture. I've had his mane in rubberbands to get it to one side. Other than the oddball lengths it actually came over! He's starting to shape up and resemble the girls now.

The babies are getting so BIG! 2 and a half weeks until they leave for NY with Allen after Thanksgiving. Even the little dutch baby.

I sold one down here, one of the solid chocolate's, her name ended up Mocha. Mocha lives with her daddy, Eddy. I swapped Eddy and Mocha for Oreo, my broken black otter buck with Sheri(not my aunt).

E-Town bunny show

This morning, at 6 am I left my house for a bunny show, I know, bit crazy but it was fun, had to scope out the 'local' bunny scene. Here's a few of my guys waiting. Syd, Oreo, Lindsay and Mimzy from left to right.

Two shots of around the room. It wasn't bad, smaller than I anticipated, but then again, Nationals were during the week so the bunnies that flew out to San Diego needed a bit of time off, as did their humans. I'm guessing around 700-800 rabbits total were there, it was a double show so not many. Considering I had almost half the dutch present for open show, that's bad.

A couple of Flemish Giants waiting and resting, now they are some pretty big buns there. Flemmies are 15+ pounds, there's no high weight on them, 15 is low weight.

My Velveteen Lops: The solid blue is the buck, about 4 months old. The Doe, the broken blue, is a proven mother, she just weaned a litter of 5 babies.
I can't wait to see what color babies they will produce come spring. Their parents were both torts, and produced blues. It's exciting.

Still working on names for those two ladies, he was calling the buck Edward, so Eddy again? Oh well.
I'm beyond exhausted so I'm off to put in Finding Nemo so I fall asleep and I've got a bit of rearranging of cages and bunnies tomorrow so the bigger two(between 6 and 8 pounds, instead of my 4 pounders) have the bigger cages.

Rabbit update- getting ready for show.

Well turns out Samantha may not be riding with me afterall, it was kind of depressing, so I took Amita out to snuggle with this morning. I let her hop for a bit in the grass too.

I might bring her just so she can get out and I'll bring an X-pen so she can hop around. If I can find my harness' I'd bring those for them to hop.
Missy Montana(below) is in a new home. She's now a pet, I've tried breeding her and she won't take, and I've tried to show her, and she over stress' and gives herself a stress cold.

And Lindsay(below) trying to hid from me, she's good about posing for the camera, since I tattooed her. She'll be okay to show, I'm not expecting alot of her in her first show, but I would LOVE for her to do very well.

Everyone else is doing wonderful, they love Aunt Lisa & Uncle Jim's messed up collard leaves.

Castle & Sheltie Fun Show!!

That is an honest to goodness castle, I got the picture for Jessica, mainly. That thing was HUGE. That was taken as we drove past it, but it was humongeous. Dad thinks they may rent rooms like a motel. The gate at the end of the driveway looked locked up, maybe just for the season? Either way I think I can find this place again if you want to go by it again some time.

Sheltie Fun Show!

And Yes it was fun!! Aunt Lisa and Uncle Jim had a fun show for the Sheltie club, and I tagged along to see what it was about.

Three of the ladies waiting while we had lunch. Satin was in her crate, but these ladies stayed out to enjoy the weather, and Piper to watch her ducks.

Piper loved her ducks. She was thrilled to go back in a second time later in the day.

Satin working the coarse. I had Piper and Paris at the time, or I would have gotten closer for some other pictures.

We got in late and Everyone flopped onto the floor to nap. Long tiring day.

Aunt Lisa and I were eye balling this little blue pup. I get the feeling the two of us wanted to bring her home with us. I think we could have found a place to put her . . . Dad would have killed me.
