Sunny Day

Well this time at least I got them in order.

A shot of the mini's also taken from the porch yesterday. Josie right in the middle, she just looks so pretty. Bo-on the right- does look chocolate, but he is lightening up some. Doesn't show the golden glow of Arizona's coat though.

No one is going to know Michelle, but she was the youth that I introduced to my world of horses and bunnies(through Rachel of coarse) and this is her and her Appaloosa mare Blizzard taken today.

This morning, Gabriel decided, despite the heat, to sit for the camera after his grooming session. I still have to build myself a small grooming table to groom them and pose them for pictures. Nails and fur on all three Holland boys and Skye only got nails, she was hot and she'll bit if she gets too hot.

All this playing outside got me burned, picture doesn't do it justice, it's way more red. Aloe was my friend tonight! Still tingling after the shower so Dad and I ran to walmart, him for sunscreen and me for aloe. I would have used my horse Aloe Heal but it's in the garage with my horse stuff. Hopefully it'll tan down so I don't have to worry too much about it.

Trip, baby and horse pics

Pheonix out by the driveway. It was hot out today so we all were hanging out on the porch.

Jasmine and Heidi munching grass before going back into shade.

This is the view behind the Pizza Hut in West Virgina where I met Marilyn to exchange Velveteens.

Somewhere on the trip home, it was before I got back into Charleston, so south of Charleston I guess.

Long stretch of road, yes the reflection of the dash is in there. Gorgeous mountain view.

New Buns! Lovely trip

These are the new babies, that came home today, they were swapped from Marilyn in Virgina(meeting in Beckly WV). These are from her first litter of Velveteen Lops, she swapped for two of my babies-which ironically was my first litter. They are 7 weeks old right now, still have some growing and filling in to do before they can look like Sophie. The solid tort is a boy, Purple Thistle's Parker, and the broken black is Purple Thistle's Leah.
I will post pictures of hte trip that I took through the car window's while I was driving eventually. West Virginia was very pretty.

Sunny morning

Jazz couldn't resist herself, so she had to help herself. I used to call her a pocket horse, cause she was always in my pockets looking for treats, but a truck horse?

The baby New Zealands, left to right is Pippin, Trisha and Rosie. They are in for a growth spurt in the next couple of weeks.

Sophie, my little baby. She's such alittle sweetie.

Jazz one day, the sun hadn't been out that day, just very windy, it was blowing Jazz's mane to the wrong side of her neck, exposing all her gray hair. Not a half bad picture for being taken with my phone.

Phoenix this morning in the bright sunshine, I love his summer coat, he just glows and shines.

New Zealands!!!

Heidi is loving her scratchin'. . . .
Jazz in the evening sun. She looks barred from the legs of the horse-port.

Phoenix in his golden glow. I LOVE his summer coat.

This is a quick picture of Trisha, my New Zealand Red doe.

Meet Rosie, Aunt Lisa's little New Zealand red doe. She's got a much better topline, better for baby production.

And this is Pippin, the New Zealand White buck.
More pictures and information coming up. I should have them on my website, http://ayasorarabbitry.webs.com in the next day or two, once I get some good photo's of them.

Wet and Wild!!

My little ham. Sophie didn't seem to mind the thunderstorm that was raging all around.

The bottom gates when Dad and I were leaving for home. The water does go over the tops of rubber boots-trust me on this one. By the time I got back into the truck I was soaked from the thigh's down. The whole trying to not move or splash doesn't work with that kind of current.

This is a bit of the road right past Kimberlite Farms on Donaldson. just a little bit of water. . . .
We got through the first deep flood spot-which we probably shouldn't have but we had to turn around here. That stop sign has about 8 inches of the post visible. I'll bet that church is underwater, I know that whole feild was underwater.
That mail box belongs to the guy near the end of Donaldson that has all those pretty horses and big cows. we had to turn around because the water was so high we couldn't get through it. I do have a video of us driving through it, but dad didn't want that one posted.
Washed the whole underside of the truck pretty good to. That other guy sat and watched, he followed us around quite a bit to try and find a way out of the area.
Needless to say, we went back across White Turley, was informed Wades Mill was flooded down by the 'bridge', ie the mexican's little place was probably floating away. We went down the other end of Wades Mill and watched a fence disappear in a dip and resurface farther down the road-all under water. We ended up going halfway to Paris(627) back into Winchester and then the interstate home. Talk about the long way around!!
Let's just hope the water level's go down by tomorrow morning.
