Gravel work!

So it was a gravel sort of day.  It has been something I have wanted to do for a while- put in a gravel pad under the water tub.

Dad had borrowed Harry & Marie's tractor to help spread the gravel and had some extra brought in so I could buy some from him.

Gravel pad inside the frame.  Now hopefully it settles down really well so it's not so HIGH up of a step for the horses, or I will have to bring in extra fill dirt to bring up the outside edge.

Two rubber stall mats covered it so that should hopefully help with traction for the girls and not get gravel stuck in their hooves

Tessa was the first to come over curious but refused to step up.  She reached over and drank from the end.  Stormy did as well but no pictures on the camera of that.  If those two can, Heidi can.

Just some randomness!

While it was so chilly today, Dad and I got up early and got my truck unloaded from the squares I picked up last weekend and then went and got a roll from Mr Clark to put out tomorrow AM.  It's a very nice looking roll of hay!  Naturally the twines are coming apart but it'll be easy to deal with that.

I played some with the bunnies today, Evie has been practically begging to get out of her cage so I put her up on a table and let her hop about.  She's such a cutie-patootie.

Lindsey was dropped into the pen with Cricket after Connie passed away a few days ago.

Cricket's like 'hey, where's my treats?'

Linds isn't as snuggly with Cricket as Connie was.

A few quick pictures of the horses.  Michael will be here tomorrow to trim hooves!
