Bahloo's on her way!

Well today was Bahloo's last day in Kentucky.  She's going home to her mommy!  I took the day off from work to get her on the trailer.  I brushed her down before Lisa got here to pick her up.

She knows what pocket the treats for her are in.
One last picture with the pretty girl- pardon the pinkish color on her face- it's from the Pok berries, she likes playing with them plus she eats right near them.
Loading up on the trailer!
And out the driveway.  Very sweet trailer, I don't bore looking at that!  That trailer has got to cost way more than our house, vehicles and all the animals combined!
A 3 box stall with side ramp load and front changing room.  Oh boy!

And this picture was one that I've been debating posting or not. I chose to go ahead and post it to show the muscle this girl has gained running with Heidi for almost a year.  Left is from yesterday, the right picture is from the day she arrived in Kentucky a year ago.

I never realized exactly how much muscle she gained until I put the pictures side by side in Paint.

Bahloo Day!

Well the day started out as a trial & error to make sure that the saddles all fit her and go for a short hack around.

We tied up in her rope halter- while it's not a good one that I like-I'm a big fan of Double Diamonds, this is a weaver.
Cathryn's saddle still fits with her 26" girth!  Yes the stirrups have gone back on, I had them off for I was using english stirrups and irons for their width.
Dad's 16" Treeless fits with Pheonix's 20" girth though the breastplate doesn't fit.  Bahloo's got a red one that matches her bridle that's in her container of belongings.
And my saddle- a Wintec Wide with the 4x gullet in it is too wide for Bahloo-it's fitted for Heidi instead.

Then around 2-2:30 this afternoon was BATH TIME.  Try to get her cleaner and smelling better for her trip to Florida and her mommy.
She has a TON of inground dirt from rolling in the pond.  I got almost all of it out.
All done!!!  Now to dry!
Face brightened right up!
She got to hand graze the back yard while she dried.  She was tickled!

Mane and tail always dry first!
Even scrubbing her tail twice you can still see the dirt way down, but Bahloo was getting irratable- probably from the cold water bath!  I don't blame her!
Still have dirt coming up to the top so come spring after she sheds everything off, another deep scrub should help get everything up and out!
Pretty clean face!
We're a bit drooly too.  At some point she'll have to have her teeth checked, I haven't gotten someone out to do teeth yet.  It's hard to find someone that's good to get out and do teeth, my two vets aren't that good at it.
Almost all dry- still down her spine is damp but the wind had picked up so I had let her loose so she could go into the barn, she'd rather stand in the sun(maybe to warm up?)  The wind was coming from Lois' side so the panel with Pheonix's blanket blocked most of the wind.

Found Bahloo's favorite treats!!  Why is it that all three of them have different favorite treats?  Phoenix loves the large Apple wafers, Heidi the Dumor molassas and Apple cookies and Bahloo:
The Manna Pro Peppermint training treats.

Luna and Shelves!

This was a way back, Aunt Lisa came over to visit and wanted to work Luna in the yard while she had some time!
I snapped some pictures while I was getting ready for work- I've been slow to get them online!

Then today, I picked up a couple more shelf boards and some brackets so I could get the last of my models out of storage and up on my shelf.
I *think* this is the last of them anyway.
