Hot and Yucky

It was 82 yesterday, 85 Saturday and 88 today. Yuk! The rabbits are all stretched out in their cages attempting to keep cool, I pulled their fan out and turned that on today(Yes dad, the one that was outside all winter, still works great!)No pictures of stretched out bunnies, if I open the cage to take the picture they always get up to come give me kisses.

The horses are fly sheeted at night when they are out, at least my two, and in during the day since they have no shelter so no sun block at all.
I did have them outside during the day yesterday(as you can tell) they have their fly masks on to try and help with the flies. Their pasture is the best for least amount of flies, that I've noticed anyway, and they've got SWAT in their ears to keep the little bugs from eating them bloody.
Just really kind of lazyish because it's sooo hot.
Saturday Dad and I went fishing, I've got to still upload those pictures off the camera, maybe tomorrow morning when it's a bit cooler to sit with the computer.

Bunny Show!!

Yippie!! It was fun. long and very tiring. I did sell one buck(HH's Matt), he goes to his home next weekend in Amsterdam with a 4Her. ANd I came home wth a champion Junior Steel Dutch Buck, who they named Chris(I won't end up leaving him called Chris, but I'm calling him Wordy also from Flashpoint-I've got Ed and Sam) and a breeding stock Tort Dutch doe she's mismarked and I've decided on calling her Julianna AKA Jules, from Flashpoint.

'Jules'

'Wordy'
Wordy/Chris is ready to show and right now stands as my best show dutch, followed by Sam. Amita beat both of her daughters on the table. Josie(Whom Rachel owns) was 3rd, Robyn(Who I own) was 2nd and Amita was best senior blue doe. We had the only three senior blue does. Mimzy was best junior blue doe, but was un contested. Amita does throw some nice offspring and I bought Wordy/Chris from the same people that bred Amita's mother, so they were able to show me her grandparents on her mother's side. such nice looking animals, let me tell you. Granted I forgot the camera in the truck-sorry- and it was too hectic to try and run outside and find the truck and get them. Cindy had dropped us to unload the rabbits from her truck and then went and parked while we set up and checked in.
The Hollands didn't so as well, my best was Calleigh for Hollands. Best broken Senior Doe, her son faired very badly, but I can't sell him, Rebekkah next door loves him I fear she'd be heartbroken if he disappeared. Speedle was scratched, he's blowing his coat. Gab was loved by the judge's helper, kept nuzzling him and giving him kisses(But that's Gab for ya) and Skye bite the helper-but not the judge so she was safe there! Gab was fourth out of 12, not shabby at all, Skye was 2nd our of 4, Dylan 5th out of 5 in each of their classes. Dylan, I was told by the judge to hang onto and let him mature a bit more, he remebered judging his father before and said the buck was very nice and his mother was extremely nice so he should mature out a bit more and by next year be very nice for showing.
Eddy, my mini rex, showed with the youth that went with us, and well he was basically thrown off the table because he was out of coat condition. The blue's tend to get 'frosty' and chocolate out right before they shed, and Eddy was frosty. They told Mich that he wasn't blue nor lilac nor chocolate and to never bring him back to the table, he wasn't showable. I beg to differ I've had a few judges tell me he was nice he just needs conditioning, so that was the only rude judge there, She was showing Eddy on the table next to where I had my hollands up so that's how I overheard everything(That judge was far from quiet.) *sigh* I'll make him shed his coat out before Vermont and let her try him again. I figure I typically only show the Dutch and Hollands, I only got Eddy to go with Poppy so I had a pair and Mich is allergic to most of the rabbits, the rex furred (Velvety plush fur)and the wooley haired rabbits(Jersey Wooley's, Am. Fuzzy Lops, All 4 Angora's) she's fine with so she can keep showing him.
Anyway, I've got to go work on the garden area. Get all my 'compost' raked out so dad can turn over the garden.

Just some pics!!

Well two of my four tattoo's stuck! Robyn's ear is too messy to get a solid good tattoo to show, so I'll have it done at the show with the tattoo pen, and naturally Dylan's didn't take again. Four times and he still doesn't have a tattoo. *sigh* He'll be another canidate for a tattoo pen at the show.
Here's Eddy's Ear!!! 'ED'

And Mimzy's Ear:

'MIZ'

I know it's a bit harder to read, but they'll come a bit more vivid as time goes.

The horses have been good, I've gotten my two out onto an open pasture, it's not really green yet, but they're away from the others now. Still shedding like maniacs.

Same old, Same old

Nothing much been going on this week. Work, Sleep, Horses, Rabbits and Magic. But today is the fun and games, tattooing! Mimzy, Robyn, Eddy, Dylan, and Colby are all getting tattooed today, show is in two weeks! I'm bringing my whole arsenal of blue Dutch with me(Sam, Amita, Mimzy, Robyn, and Matt), Colby(maybe, if I have room), Neena for Tort Dutches, Eddy for Mini Rex-I bred his counterpart to him; Skye, Gabriel, Speedle, Dylan, and Calleigh all going for Hollands. It will be a truck full. I'm getting a cap to borrow for my truck so they stay safe and dry for the ride and my truck is going down to Rhinebeck, it's about 2 hours south from here. Since I only go to three shows a year, I try to bring everyone I possible can to them to get points and maybe win a little money. Mimzy and Dylan have a TON of promise, Speedle and Gab stand their ground very well. Matt hopefully will do well, as does Sam. Skye I'm just praying doesn't bit the judge, she has had a reputation for bitting before, but she hasn't bitten a judge-yet.

Dylan, my little broken Sable Buck, he's Calleigh and Speedle's baby.

This is Sam, my all time favorite's are my blue Dutch. I'm getting a pair of Steels eventually, but Blue, Tort and Steel are the three colors that I work primarily with. Dutch also has Chocolate, Gray, and black- which Rachel deals primarily with.

And this is Robyn's baby photo, She's a senior now, but this is her first show. She's an Amita and Larry baby. Larry was sold on, but I wanted to keep his blue lines.

And last, but certainly not least is Mimzy

She's another Amita daughter, but her father is Matt.
