Well, Dad and I brought Phoenix and Jasmine up for the kids next door to have rides. Dad and I were swapping around horses, the girls and me took Jasmine with some of the kids. Jasmine accidently stepped on Emmy and her foot is bruised. It was Zeke's 6th birthday so one of the times I had Phen, I got to talk to him for a little bit. He got to choose lunch and dinner that night, so I learned that he absolutely LOVES Macaroni and Cheese with Ham and greenbeans. He adores greenbeans. And riding Phen was his best birthday present ever-despite being just a fluke it was still very interesting and everyone had fun. Had a nice workout, got to walk them both together up by myself (2.5 miles) then walk around, then to Pam's with dad and back to the farm with him, so I got a TON of walking in. My feet aren't very happy, ended up getting my toe to swell up again on Friday doing hay, so the walking certainly didn't help. Eh, nothing I can do really.

Pheeny's feet are still slightly tender from where his shoe were pulled, and I'm going to keep him barefoot a bit longer and only light excercise while they harden. I'll also pickup a hoof dressing to help his feet harden up.

Also, I keep running the shedding comb over him, twice a day to help pull his winter coat out since it's gettting soo warm.

On a side note, I've got a very busy weekend. Rachel has this weekend with Cindy and Michelle at a rabbit show in Fulton, it's a weekend trip. So I've got their(Rachel and Cindy) 4 horses and 40 something rabbits to cover besides my own. Then on Saturday I had to go with mom to drop her car off for rear wheelbearings. Dad and I put Cater down, her Wry neck was getting bad and it was the only thing nice to do for her, she couldn't even eat properly and she was dropping weight. So I buried her over by her mate, Ears. I'm incredibly tired so I think I'm just going to go to sleep for a little while.

Horse Park!!!

I'm still looking for a site to upload all the horse park pictures, since photobucket is way way to unreliable to upload half the time.

But . . .

Here's a few pictures. . . Seattle Slew and Secretariat's silks and show case.

Alysheba in his turn out. Cigar came out for us, Gypsy Supreme(Champion Saddlebred) came out a little bit, he had an abcess. Western Dreamer(Champion Standardbred), Funny Cide had booties on because they had just pulled his shoes and they didn't want him to get a bit tender.

Here's Cigar, gorgous boy

Da Hoss and Kona Gold were down in the barn closer to the Parade of Breeds, which is where they showed off for us.

Bahloo gets revisited!

Well after the wonderful day at the Kentucky Horse Park- which I got to see all the famous racehorses/show horses there(Western Dreamer-Standardbred Pacer, Gypsy Supreme-Champion Saddlebred show horse- Kona Gold, Da Hoss, Funny Cide, Cigar, Aylesheba were the Thorougbreds) I've got 173 of my own photo's and 30 of aunt lisa's to upload.

Anyway . . .

Back to Bahloo. After the Horse Park Aunt Lisa wanted to bridle Bahloo so she knew how to do it, and she bridled her the first time with a little help from me and then lead her around the feild some, brought her back up un-bridled and rebridled her this time without physical help. I gave her a few more tips to try since my arms reach spots that hers don't(I got to be this lanky weird person:) )

Got Dad on today

I got Dad on Bahloo today and my, he agrees with me about the hard saddle and she's a bit easier to ride. Friday I'm going to let Aunt Lisa saddle her and bridle her so she knows how and then we'll get her on Bahloo! Today was dad's turn, and I really learned why you don't wear sweat pants when riding bareback. . . you slide ALOT. But hey, all my jeans were in the washer and I wasn't sitting in that saddle again.
Aunt Lisa almost got on her today, but she couldn't swing over her, Bahloo's a bit tooo tall, so We're going to try a different mounting block on Friday afternoon.

Bahloo

Though Uncle Jim did beat me to this, I kidnapped dad's and aunt lisa's pics too!

Somwhere I've got some from where I decided to knock off the western saddle hurting my butt and went bareback. Though I slide around some-her back was sweaty and I haven't been bareback in a long time- I stayed on and we walked around the pasture for a little bit. It was great fun once she decided she was going to listen and that I wasn't going to take 'no' for an answer and I was the leader, not she. We're going to try again tomorrow see if that works better, and we're going to try and hit another tack store to get a smaller girth for the endurance saddle, it should be more comfy and we'll get Aunt Lisa on her tomorrow too, even if it's western.

A long day with no sleep

Magic went to the vets office this morning at 7:30 for an evaluation, she's been having bladder issues. We, as in a breeder, myself and we had mom convinced that it must have been an infection. Weeellllll, it wasn't. Everything came back normal. So I had a blood sample sent out to check for kidney problems and Cushings disease(I think that's what Bob said).

I did realize that I won't sleep without her here. I normally will come home and crash for a few hours on Fridays, but I couldn't crawl into bed, it just didn't feel right. As soon as I picked her up from the vet's office, I had to fight my tiredness. I did lose for a few hours, but I woke up after hour and a half. Magic wanted off the bed, I had her trapped there. For a 14 year old girl, mostly un taught, she's been a sweetie.
Well, I'm going back to bed.

Nothing Much

Nothing much, Skye did kill her babies(Broken tort and a Black), Kitty reabsorbed her's and Angel had three that are still alive. The two on the left are the solid Torts, just like their father, and the one on the right is a broken Sable point- I think. It's a broken colored something. Mommy's a broken Orange and Daddy's a solid Tort so it will be interesting to see what color it does come out. These little ones were born the 3rd, the picture is them at 3 days old.

The horses are good, we're finally starting to warm up, I know spring's coming, Beauty (White Welsh 'C') is shedding a TON of hair so spring's almost here. Today's almost 50 so blankets off again. I've got them to come in and go back outside without halters on, sometimes I'll just drap the rope across their necks and other times I just herd them out. *Shruggs* either way they get outside. As you can see, the snow is melting back ALOT! YEAH!!! Maybe, just maybe I might be able to get out and ride this weekend. Barebacking a littlebit.
