Hanging Out in the Cold!

Well daily temps aren't supposed to even get to 25 so it's going to be a bit chilly. Makes my hands and feet hurt from the cold. Not to mention my wallet, means I'm paying more in propane to heat the rabbits to keep their bottles thawed. I've got babies due anywhere from January 15th to Febuary 2nd. We bred for a guy and he already told us that any we couldn't sell to other breeders/showers that he would give us money for our babies.

The horses are holding out in the cold, some nights they come in, but I've already started to put them back out at night only because sometimes it is too cold to muck stalls.

Beauty came in as well for the night. She's a 13 HH Welsh Cob, Class C retired ex show, ex broodmare pony. Phoenix was the ladies man tonight. Only gelding with all the mares inside tonight! And he doesn't care.

I notice none of the horses have halters on, is there a reason?

they're all in their stalls. They can get them caught on too much stuff with them on(in the pasture too, but the others have tendencies to bust the fence so they keep them on in case i've got to catch them.) but it also lets them rub and scratch their faces without digging their faces up too much
